Our structured street art and graffiti workshops can be fully tailored to suit every requirement! We engage groups of all ages and abilities while teaching the skills needed to create graffiti art murals.
The participants work together and create their own graffiti artwork with guidance from an experienced and professional artist. Another benefit is the option to base the work around any relevant theme, topic or issue.
We can work both in-house using our Edinburgh studio or on an outreach basis. If the workshop takes place at your venue, we’ll need you to provide adequate space as well as a surface for the mural. This could be a wall, boards or canvas – we can discuss the options with you.

From the wise-beyond-their-years to the young-at-heart, we can cater to almost all age groups! The youngest we recommend is 7 years of age due to health and safety reasons. Contact us to discuss the requirements for your group.
Each of our artists holds a valid PVG/CRB certificate.

We have a proven track record of delivering successful art workshops with all of the above groups, both within Edinburgh and across Scotland. Using graffiti and street art is an ideal way to connect generations and explore creativity through contemporary means, breaking down traditional barriers to the art world. Learning through these purpose-designed and structured sessions whilst drawing upon and developing artistic ideas promotes confidence, creative thinking, independence and a positive attitude and disposition in the participant. All this whilst brightening up your surrounding environment!
Our workshop lesson plans generally cover the following:
- A brief history of the graffiti and street art movement
- Brainstorming & sketching session to develop ideas *(depending on workshop length)
- Using spray paint responsibly
- Materials demonstration & safety brief
- A guide to basic painting techniques
- Creation of the artwork – this can include developing graffiti lettering, characters, backgrounds and stencils using spray paints, paint markers or a combination of both
- Evaluation of the work completed
Workshops can be based around any relevant theme or issue of your choice – just let us know!
Workshops are tailored to your requirements, from a short crash course to a full day or recurring weekly sessions: whatever works best for you! We recommend a half-day (3 hours) or a full-day (6 hours) but a minimum of 2 hours.
We can work both in-house using our Edinburgh studio or on an outreach basis.
Our studio can host large groups of 15 comfortably (maximum of 20 participants) indoors. We can also provide tables and chairs. If we use an outdoor graffiti wall in Edinburgh, larger groups could be catered for.
We provide all the necessary artistic equipment and materials for each workshop. Please note – If the workshop takes place at your venue, we’ll need you to provide adequate space as well as a surface for the mural. This could be a wall, boards or canvas – we can discuss the options with you.
The primary tool is the traditional spray paint can, but we can also use special paint markers if required. Depending on your desired objective, be it a permanent spray painted mural or small pieces for display or to take home, we can suit the workshop to the surface. This could be painting on to walls, boards, canvasses or posters: whichever suits your space, surroundings or budget.
When working indoors, we use a special odourless, water-based spray paint!
